Follow these steps to efficiently create and optimize your route plans:
Step 1: Create a New Plan
-
Navigate to Plans > Create Plan from the left-side menu.
-
Click Import Jobs and select one of the available import methods:
-
Basic Import: Ideal for importing a single task type (Delivery, Pickup, or Service) per customer.
-
Advanced Import: Suitable for importing multiple tasks (up to three types: Delivery, Service, Pickup) per customer.
-
CIRCL Import: Utilize previously generated CIRCL files for reusing plans created earlier.
-
-
Review the imported job data in the displayed table, ensuring all details are accurate.
-
After confirming, click Submit Jobs to finalize job creation.
Note: You also have the option to manually add stops and tasks directly within the plan.
Step 2: Assign Vehicles and Drivers
-
Select an available vehicle or click Add Vehicle if none are currently listed.
-
Assign a driver to the selected vehicle or add a new driver as necessary.
-
Set the driver’s Shift Times and Start&End Locations to ensure accuracy in route optimization.
Step 3: Generate and Optimize Routes
-
Click Generate Routes to automatically optimize your plan based on the tasks and available resources.
-
If you notice any dropped stops, this could mean the assigned drivers' working hours are insufficient for the planned tasks. To resolve:
-
Add additional vehicles and drivers, or
-
Extend the existing drivers’ shift hours to accommodate more stops.
-
Step 4: Publish and Notify Drivers
-
Once satisfied with the optimized routes, click Publish to Drivers at the bottom-right corner.
-
Notify your drivers that their routes are available, and remind them to download and log into the app to access their assignments.
By following these steps, you can ensure your route plans are effectively organized, optimized, and efficiently communicated to your team.
